Kit, the designer and founder of BaLight with an engineering background, founded the brand in 2015. An artisan maker sells the products at art bazaars in Malaysia. BaLight came about when co-founders Kit, Ken Lee & Letnard Chin went to Australia and came across a simple table lamp made out of galvanized iron (GI) pipe with a filament light bulb. The unique designs depict GI pipes fashioned to resemble a man in various poses from thinking, running and even fighting. One of the bestsellers is candy lamp which is a small desktop lamp with GI base topped with an Edison filament light bulb. In addition, BaLight uses the pipes to fashion racks, tables, chairs and other types of furniture for home, office, cafe or restaurant.
